Killer Crush - Chapter 4 - valdrinors (2024)

Chapter Text

Senora Cayanes’ classroom smelt like whiteboard markers and pencil shavings. Also cigarettes, Tina had seen a couple littered across the floor on the back few desks; they made the room have a very Blissfield High smell to it. Very much an average inner-city classroom, with average inner-city classroom experiences. She was seated on a desk, watching as Senora Cayanes rapidly read the inscription on the dagger in Spanish, the bright blues and purples on the walls contrasting with the grey desks.

Tina began to bite her bottom lip nervously. God she was worried; the whole ‘ritual sacrifice’ thing that Josh mentioned set her off immediately. She hadn’t seen many horror movies, but she had watched Freaky Friday 15 times -- to be fair, it was mainly because Lindsay Lohan was hot -- and she was pretty sure there was a time limit.

Josh, on the other hand, looked more confused. “What does it say?” He asked, to which Tina nearly got up and slapped him upside the head.

Cayanes ignored his question and continued to rapidly read, causing Tina to attempt to clear her throat to prevent Cayanes from just… Not translating the whole thing. Once again, the threat of a time limit was stressing her out, considering that for all they know, the Butcher was running around and murdering highschoolers in the body of one of the least popular girls in school… And there was the other issue. Yes, whilst he was in Millie’s body, it was still Millie’s DNA on the cryo chamber Ryler died in - well, alongside with hers and later Millie as the Butcher - so honestly, Millie could be framed.

The bodyswap situation was perfect for this man.

“Uh… No hablo espanol?”

Tina groaned, about ready to fall off the desk and land on the floor in response to Josh’s sudden show of stupidity. She rolled her eyes, looking at Josh with a frown.

“Senor Detmer, you are in my class!” Cayanes stated.

“Well, I’m dyslexic!”

“And I’m offended.” Tina snorted, rolling her eyes.

“I have a doctor’s note.”

In response to that Cayanes muttered an insult against Josh in Spanish. Benefit of not taking the class -- Tina was fairly certain the insult was also directed against her. Then she continued;

“It says here if the sacrifice is not successful, the souls of the two persons are swapped, and the change will become permanente after 24 hours.”

Josh blinked, causing Tina to roll her eyes. “Even I know what that means, she means permanent.”

So there was a time limit… Cheesy early 2000s family comedies never lead Tina astray, at least, not until now.

“Permanent?!” Nyla exclaimed, as the serious expression of the Spanish teacher lingered.

Si.”

Well sh*t.

“So, if we don’t manage to reverse the change in 24 hours, Millie’s stuck in the body of that sociopath?”

Nyla nodded. “Yeah, it seemed so… I’m more amazed that Senora Cayanes gave us the time of day.”

Tina gripped onto her necklace, sighing heavily. Worst. Homecoming. Ever. Not only was the dance not even on, her crush who she was going to ask out to it was going to be stuck in the body of a 50-something 6’4” serial killer for the rest of her life if Tina didn’t hurry the f*ck up. Plus she was convinced that her friends thought she was dead, or missing, or--

“Tin-Tin!” Blonde hair came rushing towards her and nearly tackled her to the floor. For a second, she thought it was the Butcher, but it turned out to just be Aurora. “Hey girl, hey! Where’ve you been? I haven’t seen you all day!”

Tina blinked, possibly her body was still in shock. Aurora waved.

“Oh, hi Joshua! Hi Nyla!” She then turned to face Tina, “OMG, Tin-Tin, can you believe Homecoming is cancelled?! You finally had your shot to tell Beaver how you felt!”

Tina rolled her eyes. “Rory, I think the lives of other people are more important than a silly little crush.”

“I mean, she was acting weird around you earlier, and then you, and her, and Ryler went to the basem*nt, and then you didn’t come back, and now I’m only just seeing you again!” Aurora bounced on her toes, “Did you and her… You know…” She made a scissoring motion with her hands.

Now, if this was regular Millie, Tina would’ve just laughed the joke off, because that’s what it was. A stupid joke. Because it was a 50-something year old serial murderer with yellow teeth who smelt like hot dog water wearing Millie’s body like a suit, Tina had a much different reaction. Her stomach dropped and she gripped onto Nyla’s arm, causing Aurora to raise a brow.

“Everything okay?” She asked, as Nyla nodded.

“Y-Yeah, everything’s fine… We need to go…”

However, even as they were walking off, Aurora followed excitedly.

“No, wait, Tin-Tin!” Aurora called. “We’re all gonna be meeting at the mini-golf place after school! You know to make up for Homecoming getting cancelled. It was Millie’s idea!”

Tina’s face paled.

Aurora seemed to notice and chuckle. “Don’t panic, I won’t tell anyone about your little adventure. Besides, I invited Booker and Phill and they’ll keep us safe!” She air kissed Tina on each cheek. “See you there!”

And she disappeared down the hallway, causing Tina’s body to freeze. Josh giggled, which caused Nyla to hit him on the arm, watching as Tina’s entire body convulsed. It was like she’d been shot in the head. This was definitely everything she wanted at one point, and now everything was coming to fruition. The hom*ophobic bitch was dead, and ‘Millie’ - although it wasn’t the real Millie - actually gave her the time of day. But why did she feel this way. His arm stayed put on her stomach, and she struggled to move, suddenly elbowing Nyla in the chest.

“What the f*ck?!” Nyla shouted, as Tina’s panting slowed. The world became normal again. She took a deep breath in.

“S-Sorry about that…”

“Wow, so did you have a thing for Mills or what?”

“Joshua! Now’s not the time!” Nyla rolled her eyes and gestured to Tina, as she said in a hushed tone. “Whatever he did to her, it definitely f*cked her up! Big time! That’s why we have to stop him, now where the hell is--”

That’s when they saw the Butcher enter the shop classroom. Tina’s eyes widened. They had to get to Millie, and fast. She immediately dragged Nyla and Josh to the boys bathroom, seeing Tim Turnipseed leave the room holding the back of his head, and screaming. Well f*ck. Tina sighed. It would’ve been kinda hot to see Millie beat the sh*t out of her tormentor, even if it was in a man’s body… Also was that pee on his pants? Although it also incriminated her more.

“W-We gotta go… And now.”

They darted a corner, and then another corner, eyes wide as Tina saw the back of the Butcher’s ponytail.

“Is this where he is?” Josh asked.

“Yeah, he’ll be getting out of woodshop--”

And that’s when the groups converged. The Butcher’s eyes were transfixed on Tina, her hands balling into fists instinctively. It didn’t help that his red lips purred upwards into a smirk, forcing Tina’s gaze to Millie’s body once more. The group beside her didn’t make it any easier.

“Woah, what am I wearing?” Millie asked, somewhat in shock, but also in amusem*nt. It was worse having the crush themselves acknowledge it, Tina decided. Great, she felt another rolling panic attack coming on. She then pointed at the doppleganger. “Stop right there.”

There was five seconds of staring, when the Butcher squealed.

“Help! Help! Oh my God, it’s the Blissfield Butcher!”

“sh*t--”

The officers came running as the Butcher’s girlish squeals got louder. God, why weren’t windows breaking? Baby Spice apparently hadn’t been the same since the divorce. Tina’s brain went on and on with snappy one liners before she was suddenly yoinked away by the real Millie in what definitely looked like yet another kidnapping. Wow, three in a row? Was she gonna get a free trip to Tahiti or something?

Suddenly they were out in the parking lot, everyone running and screaming.

“Where’s the car?!” Millie cried as Josh unlocked the vehicle. Tina quickly realized. She was going to be parked right next to her crush in the backseat. Universe? Why do you hate me? She asked to no one in particular, before deciding -- she wasn’t going to halt. The officers were speeding up and she jumped into the car, slamming right into Millie’s shoulder and holding it. However, once Joshua put the key in the ignition, the car spluttered.

“Sweet Jesus, we’re all dead.”

“What’s wrong with it?”

“It’s a piece of sh*t! What do you want from me?”

“Uh… Guys?”

Oh no. The cops were coming. f*ck, f*ck, f*ck.

“Just f*ckin’ punch it!” Tina shouted, and that was when everyone started screaming and the car decided to work. Thank f*ck. Now, it was time for chaos. They smashed into a police car as they went, Tina hearing the police officer call into his radio.

“Why can’t I just have a normal life?!”

“I love how that’s what you’re complaining about!”

“Calm down.”

“Don’t tell me to calm down, Nyla!” Josh squeaked, “I just turned 18! I could go to prison!”

Tina gestured to Millie, who was shuffling awkwardly. “Um, Nyla, can you scooch your seat up a little bit?”

Nyla did so.

“Okay, we need a plan!” Nyla began, “They saw us with her, so they’re gonna be looking for us now.”

“Ny, can you move up a little more?”

Nyla did so, as Josh panted.

“We need to get you a disguise, Mil.” He stated, “You can’t be walking around in those clothes and that face. Everyone knows who you are!”

“Good plan.”

“Nyla, could you just do a little, teeny teeny, just a little bit more?”

In response to Nyla’s annoyed expression, Tina lifted her leg, pushing her foot against the seat, which was quite uncomfortable to do in a skirt. Nyla sighed, somewhat annoyed but mostly shocked.

“Now you’re just showing off!”

“Hey, look, I’m having rolling panic attacks, Millie’s going to be stuck in this body forever, and, uh, newsflash; we’re all gonna go to prison if we don’t hurry the f*ck up!”

Silence filled the car as Josh cleared his throat. “You good, Mill?”

“Yeah, much better.”

“And you, Tina?”

“I’ve been worse! Again let’s get our priorities straight and find a goddamn disguise.” She glared at Millie, “And don’t you dare look up my skirt or I’ll throw you out of the car.”

“I wasn’t gonna…”

That’s when sirens kicked in, Tina turned her head, dropping her leg in response to the sirens in shock. Millie’s eyes widened and her head swivelled to follow.

“sh*t!”

“What?”

“It’s the police…” And then when the hand started waving, out the window, Millie gasped. “Oh my God… It’s Char.”

“Your sister?!” Tina’s eyes widened.

“Um…” The Discount Bonanza appeared out of the corner of Nyla’s eyes, and she immediately called for action, “Ooh! Up ahead! Turn left! We can mix into the parking lot!”

“No, that’s my mom’s…”

“It’s our best chance! Go!”

“Turn!”

As Josh sped up to prepare the turn, a truck appeared in their vision. Almost instinctively, like it was a second action, Tina gripped onto Millie’s arm, her nails digging in almost sharp enough to draw blood. Maybe it’s because the older skin she now possessed was tougher, or maybe it was because she was too much in shock to even respond, Millie barely moved, only shuffling a small inch to the left. The sirens got louder. Josh turned around the car to Nyla’s scream of “What the f*ck?!”

And that’s when the car skidded into the parking lot, Tina catching her breath. That was enough adrenaline for one day… But it was only going to get worse. Now, to find a disguise.
