I’ll lean toward the Tigers here. Probably not touching this one, though. Maeda could use a bit of a bounce-back effort. In his last start Maeda put up 5.0 innings with four earned on five hits and two walks in a loss to the Astros. As for Thorpe, he coughed up seven earned in 3.1 innings during his last outing.

On Friday the Tigers got a pretty stellar pitching effort across the board. Bullpen arms Beau Brieske and Jason Foley combined for 3.1 innings, one hit, no walks, no earned and one strikeout. The bats need to wake up Saturday, though.
